West Wilmerding, PA

West Wilmerding is a census-designated place in North Versailles Township, Allegheny County, tucked just west of the borough of Wilmerding in the Turtle Creek Valley. The name is a geographic clue: this is the west side of the Wilmerding area, near Turtle Creek and East Pittsburgh, in the compact valley east of Pittsburgh. The creek’s level floor, rising wooded hills, bridges, and rail lines make the local map feel more connected than the small place name suggests.
