Westboro is a quiet, rural community in northern Taylor County, situated along Highway 13 just northwest of Rib Lake. Tucked into the timber and lake country of north-central Wisconsin, the area grew up along Silver Creek during the logging and railroad boom of the late 1800s. Early sawmills, stores, and boarding houses once catered to a rush of timber workers, but the area has since settled into a relaxed rhythm surrounded by thick woods and peaceful waterways.
