Westchase’s planned layout places two mixed-use town centers among distinct residential neighborhoods. West Park Village includes apartments as well as other housing types, while its town center and the separate Westchase Town Center contain markets, cafes, restaurants, shops, offices, child care, gyms, and other routine services. Because Westchase is not an incorporated city, the community association and elected Community Development District have particularly visible roles: the association manages resident programs and facilities, while the district manages common elements, conservation areas, and ponds. Resident access and county access overlap but are not identical. The association’s Countryway and West Park Village centers have two pools with lap and shallow-play areas, two toddler pools, eight lighted tennis courts, and six permanent pickleball courts at Countryway; tennis programming includes leagues, lessons, clinics, and camps.

Neighborhood facilities add parks, picnic pavilions, nature trails, a soccer field, and an 18-hole public golf course. Hillsborough County’s Westchase Park and Recreation Center is open to county residents and nonresidents and runs after-school care, summer programs, athletic leagues, fitness classes, arts and crafts, and walking clubs alongside a basketball court, playground, field, shelters, and meeting rooms. Seasonal events also use the neighborhood greens: from October through March, the association schedules a movie at Montague Street Park on the second Friday of each month.
