Weston, TX

Weston is a Collin County town at the intersection of FM 543 and FM 455, about 13 miles northwest of McKinney and eight miles east of Celina. Settlers arrived in the early 1840s, drawn by Blackland Prairie soil and water from Honey Creek and the East Fork of the Trinity River. By 1880, the town had churches, a school, general stores, grocery stores, and cotton gins, giving the crossroads a full local economy.

Weston today sits in the fast-changing northern Collin County orbit, but town government still works day to day from the same road-centered geography. Celina ISD and McKinney ISD serve different parts of the community, and Collin College provides the county's community-college connection. FM 455 carries residents east and west, while McKinney and Celina handle many larger trips. Weston's character comes from that overlap: old Blackland farm country, a two-road center, school boundaries crossing the map, and a small town keeping its own calendar inside the expanding metro edge.
