About Wethersfield

Wethersfield is a historic Hartford County town immediately south of Hartford along the Connecticut River. It is known for one of Connecticut's largest historic districts, with several buildings recognized as historic landmarks. The town also has a surprising education footnote: the Collegiate School was briefly located here before moving to New Haven and later becoming Yale University. Today Wethersfield combines old Connecticut architecture, river-town history, state offices such as the Department of Labor headquarters, and close access to Hartford.
