White Oak, MO

White Oak is an unincorporated community in Dunklin County, Missouri, United States. The 2020 census counted 101 residents. White Oak is located on Route 25, approximately five miles north of Kennett. A post office called White Oak was established in 1891, and the name was changed to Whiteoak in 1895. White Oak makes sense once you see how its past, landscape, and current gathering spots overlap. The useful thing to know about White Oak is that its older landmarks and current settings belong to one connected place. The community was named for a grove of white oak trees near the original town site.
