White Oak, OK

White Oak is a Craig County census-designated place in northeastern Oklahoma, along State Highway 66 near the eastern end of that road at U.S. 60. A post office operated here from 1898 to 1957, but the community's most distinctive continuity is Shawnee. White Oak is the setting for the Shawnee Tribe's annual spring and fall Bread Dances and Green Corn ceremonies, an annual cycle that brings ceremony, families, and tribal memory back to the same ground. The surrounding roads lead toward Vinita and the scattered communities of Craig County.

White Oak Public School serves early childhood through eighth grade.
