Whitefield, OK

Whitefield is a small, quiet community perched on the high ground just south of the Canadian River in eastern Oklahoma. Home to fewer than 400 people, the town offers plenty of open space and a relaxed, rural atmosphere. Its position at the crossroads of State Highways 2 and 9 makes getting around simple, putting everyday shopping in Stigler just six miles to the east and easy weekend trips to Lake Eufaula less than a half-hour away.

The area has a deep history rooted in the Choctaw Nation and old Indian Territory. Following the Civil War, it grew around a local trading post before officially taking the name Whitefield in the late 1880s. Today, it remains a peaceful crossroads town where wide-open skies, surrounding farmland, and quick access to nearby lakes make it an appealing spot for quiet country living.
