Wilbur Park, MO

Wilbur Park is a tiny incorporated village in Concord Township, St. Louis County, set in the settled south county area. The village covers only about six-hundredths of a square mile, all land, and stood at roughly 509 feet above sea level. The 2020 census counted 439 residents. Its size makes the municipal boundary itself part of the story: a compact neighborhood with its own village government inside the much larger St. Louis County landscape.

Wilbur Park was incorporated in 1941, during the period when small communities around St. Louis were taking on separate municipal identities as the county built outward. The village has no broad rural hinterland or industrial district; its character comes from homes, streets, local administration, and its connection to the surrounding South County neighborhoods.
