About Willcox
Willcox is a city in Cochise County, Arizona, situated in the scenic Sulphur Springs Valley. Founded in 1880 as a whistlestop on the Southern Pacific Railroad under the name Maley, the city lies in a flat basin near the remnant of the Ice Age-era Lake Cochise. The surrounding landscape features six of Arizona's ten tallest mountains within a seventy-mile radius. Today, the community is a regional center for agriculture, wine production, and desert tourism.
