Wilsall, MT

Set in the scenic Shields Valley, Wilsall is a quiet ranching community with incredible views of the Crazy and Bridger mountain ranges. Located about 30 miles northeast of Bozeman and 25 miles north of Livingston, it offers a relaxed rural pace while keeping bigger-city amenities within an easy drive. The town was established in the early 1900s along the Northern Pacific Railroad and got its name by blending the names of founder Will Jordan and his wife, Sally.

Today, Wilsall is a great fit for people who appreciate wide-open spaces, a friendly small-town feel, and quick access to fishing, hunting, and mountain trails. The town hosts the local elementary school, while middle and high school students head down the road to Clyde Park as part of the Shields Valley School District. Local life revolves around ranching and community events, highlighted by the annual Wilsall Rodeo, which has drawn crowds every June since 1953.
