Wilton, NH

Wilton is the main village and census-designated place inside the larger town of Wilton, New Hampshire, at the meeting of the Souhegan River and Stony Brook. The 2020 census counted 1,324 residents in the CDP. Route 31 and Route 101 meet nearby, so the village has a natural pull for the surrounding hills. Water-powered mills built the early economy, and their old buildings now hold shops, studios, restaurants, and small businesses along Main Street. The town was incorporated in 1762, and the village still carries that early New England framework.

Wilton's village center packs a lot into a small footprint: the Riverwalk, Wilton Public and Gregg Free Library, Town Hall Theatre, and the old mill streets all sit close together.
