Winslow, IN

Winslow is a town in Patoka Township, Pike County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. The 2020 census counted 764 residents. Winslow is part of the Jasper Micropolitan Statistical Area. Winslow was laid out in 1837. Prior to 1974, Winslow had its own high school. That mix gives Winslow a clear local shape within Indiana, with older layers still visible in current places. The local scoop is a place whose streets, landmarks, and institutions keep its earlier story close to the present. The town was named after William Winslow Hathaway, son of an early settler. The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters.
