Wolcott, VT

Sitting on the eastern edge of Lamoille County, Wolcott offers a quiet, rural slice of northern Vermont with plenty of open space. The Lamoille River winds right through town, giving residents easy access to the water and scenic mountain backdrops. One of the area's favorite local landmarks is the historic Fisher Covered Railroad Bridge, a rare wooden train bridge that now connects directly into the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail.

Life here revolves naturally around the outdoors. You can drop a canoe into the river right by the bridge, take a morning bike ride along the rail trail, or explore the quiet dirt roads and nearby ponds. While Wolcott feels peaceful and secluded, its spot along Route 15 means everyday conveniences and dining in Morrisville and Hardwick are only a short drive down the road.
