About Woodland

Woodland is a city spanning Clark and Cowlitz counties in Washington, situated at the mouth of the Lewis River within the Longview metropolitan area. First settled in 1849 by Hudson's Bay Company retiree Adolphous Le Lewes, the community of approximately 6,500 hosts Planter's Days, the state's longest-running civic festival established in 1922. The city features the scenic Horseshoe Lake Park in its center and is served by the Woodland School District.
