Woodlynne, NJ

Woodlynne is a Camden County borough of 2,902 residents in the 2020 census, four miles southeast of Philadelphia and among New Jersey's smallest municipalities. Its streets sit on the former Woodlynne Amusement Park site, where a lake and scenic railway once drew visitors before a housing development and the Camden and Suburban Railway helped turn the area into a borough. Woodlynne incorporated in 1901, and the old Lynnewood name had already become Woodlynne by 1892. The borough's local map is compact: Woodlynne Elementary serves pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, older students attend Collingswood High School through a sending relationship, and the war memorial on Woodlynne Avenue records residents lost in four U.S. wars.
