About Woodridge
Woodridge is a Sullivan County village in the Town of Fallsburg that started life as Centreville and found its shape after the New York, Ontario and Western Railway arrived. The railroad helped make this part of the Catskills a summer destination, with hotels and bungalow colonies giving the village a seasonal side that still shows up in its businesses and lake roads. The old O&W line is now a rail trail, with one trailhead in the village center and another by William Krieger Memorial Park. Silver Lake sits beside the park, giving the trail a water view and the village another layer of history. Woodridge is a small place where a former railroad corridor now doubles as the best way to read the local map.
