Wooster, AR

Wooster is a Faulkner County city eight miles north of Conway and five miles west of Greenbrier, with Arkansas Highway 25 running through the middle. The 2020 census counted 1,042 residents. People settled here in the late nineteenth century, but Wooster did not incorporate until 1958, so its current shape is a mix of older rural roads and newer Central Arkansas growth. Conway is close enough for work and larger errands, while Greenbrier is the nearby school and town connection.

Greenbrier School District serves Wooster students through Wooster Elementary and Greenbrier High School, giving the city a school route that crosses the neighboring communities. City hall, water service, parks, and annual fireworks fill in the local civic map, and the Highway 25/Interstate 40 project is bringing a new round of attention to the corridor. That project is part of why Wooster is talking about infrastructure and economic development while still looking like a small crossroads on the northwestern edge of Faulkner County. The place sits in a useful in-between spot: close to Conway’s growth, tied to Greenbrier’s schools, and still organized around its own highway and city services.
