Worthington, KY

Worthington is a Greenup County city on the south bank of the Ohio River, with CSX rail lines and the river both part of its map. The site passed from Abraham Buford to the Means and Russell Iron Company, then to W.J. Worthington, the lieutenant governor whose name the city carries. It sits between Wurtland and Raceland, with Russell to the east, in the Huntington-Ashland-Ironton region. Worthington is an eastern Kentucky river town where iron, rail, and the Ohio set the outline.
