About Wrightsville

Wrightsville is the Johnson County seat, with a historic courthouse and three major highways meeting in the downtown grid. U.S. 319, State Routes 15 and 57, and the smaller roads feeding them make this a crossroads town, while tributaries of the Ohoopee River drain the surrounding country. Wrightsville also carries an unusual bit of Georgia history: families from Pennsylvania helped give it a Quaker reputation and the nickname “Little Pennsylvania.” It is central Georgia in a county-seat shape, where the courthouse and highway map meet.
