Wynona, OK

Wynona is a quiet rural community in Osage County along State Highway 99, about 11 miles south of Pawhuska. The town grew out of Oklahoma's ranching and energy heritage, beginning as an Osage-Cherokee ranch settlement in the late 1800s. When the railroad arrived in the early 1900s, followed by a local oil boom, Wynona quickly turned into a busy cattle-shipping hub with a lively downtown district.

Today, Wynona is a peaceful place to live with a population of around 370 residents. The boom years have settled into quiet country roads and open pastureland typical of the Osage Hills. Highway 99 runs straight through town, giving residents an easy 15-minute drive north to Pawhuska or a simple commute toward Bartlesville for groceries, dining, and everyday services.
