About Zanesfield
Zanesfield is a village in Logan County, Ohio, United States of America. The 2020 census counted 194 residents. Zanesfield is the smallest incorporated village in Logan County. Zanesfield is named for Isaac Zane, who was born in 1753 in what was then Berkeley County, Virginia, and is now Hardy County, West Virginia. The village has a public library, the Earl Sloan Library. The short version is that Zanesfield carries an earlier story into the places people know and use now. That is the local read on Zanesfield: its past remains attached to the places people use now. He was the youngest brother of Ebenezer Zane, for whom Zanesville, Ohio, is named. Zanesfield is home to a private school.
