Alpine has no municipal library; residents instead use a reimbursement program and a traveling collection. The city reimburses each household up to $50 a year for a card at another library, while the Utah Bookmobile stops in Alpine every other Tuesday. Its three stops—at a senior-living community, Creekside Park, and a church—offer free cards, physical materials, and access to audiobooks through Libby. Alpine Days gathers a different set of activities each August. The 2026 celebration ran from August 8 through 15 and included a firefighters' barbecue, baking contest, youth kickball, home-run derby, sidewalk-chalk activity, children's story and craft time, pickleball, a 5K, mountain-bike and disc-golf events, an auto show, and a parade. Alpine's 2025 population estimate was 10,444, 1.8 percent above its 2020 estimates base.

The same estimates put average household size at 3.27, the under-18 share at 29.2 percent, bachelor's attainment among adults age 25 or older at 54.3 percent, median household income at $168,929, and workers' mean travel time at 29.7 minutes. The built-up city meets foothill open space at Lambert Park, which places 255 acres within the municipal park system. Designated trails serve hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders; the property also has picnic areas, a pavilion, restrooms, and designated camping. Most motorized use has been prohibited since 2018, apart from maintenance and emergency vehicles and roads serving the pavilion and rodeo grounds, and current fire restrictions prohibit fires anywhere in the park.
