Bartlett, IL

Bartlett crosses Cook, DuPage, and Kane counties, with most homes in Cook or DuPage and a smaller section in eastern Kane County. The Chicago-area village had 41,105 residents in 2020. Potawatomi people once camped and hunted in the area, and Bartlett incorporated in 1891. Its population rose sharply after World War II: the 1960 census recorded 2,291 residents, while the incorporated area now covers nearly 16 square miles. The village’s community profile records more than 380 acres managed or leased by the park district, including two golf courses and a ski facility. A Metra station is in downtown Bartlett.
