Batavia, MT

Batavia is a Flathead County CDP along U.S. 2, about six miles from Kalispell. Its local map is mostly geographic: the highway runs through town, the Batavia Waterfowl Production Area sits nearby, and Ashley Creek and the Great Northern Historical Trail are close to the intersection. The place sits in the Flathead Valley’s north-south travel corridor, with Kalispell close enough to orient the whole story. If you pass through, think U.S. 2, wetlands, creek, trail, and a small community at the edge of the valley.
