Ben Avon Heights, PA

Perched on the hills above the Ohio River, Ben Avon Heights is a quiet borough about nine miles northwest of downtown Pittsburgh. With around 400 residents and roughly 150 houses, it feels more like a secluded neighborhood than a separate town. The entire area is residential, centered around winding streets, a small community park, and the historic Shannopin Country Club.

The community was originally developed in the early twentieth century around a golf course, and that peaceful, park-like layout is still here today. You will not find shops, restaurants, or heavy traffic within the borough lines, which keeps daily life relaxed and quiet. When you need groceries, local dining, or an easy commute into the city, neighboring towns and major roadways are just a short drive down the hill.
