Bruce, WI

With around 800 residents, Bruce is a quiet, close-knit village in northwestern Wisconsin's Rusk County. The town got its start in the 1880s as a railroad and logging hub, taking its name from local timberman A.C. Bruce. While the logging camps and train crews are in the past, that history is still visible around town, from the local museum to long-standing landmarks like the family-run MacArthur Hotel.

Today, Bruce offers a relaxed pace and easy access to the Northwoods. Sitting at the intersection of Highway 8 and Highway 40, the village puts you minutes from hiking and trail riding in the Blue Hills, plus fishing along the Chippewa River.
