Burr Ridge, IL

Burr Ridge is a village in both DuPage and Cook counties, southwest of Chicago. It is known as an affluent residential suburb, but the local geography gives it some shape: gently rolling hills left by glacial activity at the end of the last ice age, plus nearby waterways and parkland such as Pleasantdale Park. The village sits near major suburban corridors while keeping a lower-density, estate-like character in many areas. For a Chicago suburb, Burr Ridge feels quieter and more spread out than its location might suggest.
