About Canonsburg

Canonsburg is a borough in Washington County, Pennsylvania, situated eighteen miles southwest of Pittsburgh. Laid out by Colonel John Canon in 1789, the community of approximately 9,675 is the home of Sarris Candies and the historic site of Jefferson College, the first college west of the Allegheny Mountains. Public education is served by the Canon-McMillan School District.
