Cresson, TX

Cresson is a city at the corners of Hood, Johnson, and Parker counties, at the junction of U.S. 377 and State Highway 171 about 25 miles southwest of Fort Worth. The 2020 census counted 1,349 residents. Incorporated in 2001, it grew along the highway corridor and still reads as a ranchland crossroads even as the Dallas-Fort Worth metro reaches its edges. Granbury lies about 12 miles southwest and Fort Worth about 25 miles northeast, putting larger trips on the same roads that carry local traffic. The city's education map crosses county lines: Granbury ISD serves most of Cresson, with portions in Godley ISD and Aledo ISD.

MotorSport Ranch sits at the highway junction with multiple road courses, garages, and motorsports businesses, giving Cresson a distinctive activity center beyond the usual small-city routine. City hall, the old downtown, schools, ranchland, and U.S. 377 all share the same three-county setting.
