Delta, PA

Delta is a quiet, historic borough tucked right against the Maryland line in southern York County. The town grew as a railroad stop in the late 1800s, but it was the area's rich vein of Peach Bottom slate that truly put it on the map. Immigrant quarry workers, particularly from Wales, shaped the community's heritage and left behind a signature look. You can see their craftsmanship everywhere today, from vintage slate roofs and foundations to local sidewalks.

The heart of town is Main Street, an entire stretch of preserved historic buildings listed on the National Register. It is a close-knit community where neighbors turn out for annual fire company parades, community fairs, and traditional Welsh singing festivals. With students attending the South Eastern School District, Delta offers small-town peace and a unique historic character right on the state border.
