Eagleville, TN

Eagleville is a Rutherford County city of 813 residents in the 2020 census, about 26 miles south of Nashville with I-840 linking it to the larger Middle Tennessee road network. The post office arrived in 1836, when the town changed its name from Manchester because that name was already taken; local lore ties Eagleville to an unusually large eagle found nearby. State Route 99 and U.S. 41A give the city its basic north-south map. The school, library, co-op, fire and police buildings, and community center make the local center easy to read.
