About Erick

Erick is a city in Beckham County, Oklahoma, United States. The 2020 census counted 1,000 residents. A post office, originally named Dennis, was established to serve the local community on November 8, 1900. Erick community developed along the Choctaw, Oklahoma and Gulf Railroad line, built in 1902. The town is in the Erick Public Schools district. In Erick, history and present-day settings sit close enough to belong to the same local picture. The officers freed themselves, but the trail of the criminals had gone cold. Erick is located just south of I-40 and is on the historic US Route 66.
