About Essex Fells

Essex Fells is a borough in Essex County, New Jersey, incorporated in 1902 from portions of Caldwell Township. Standing on land that was part of the historic Horseneck Tract purchased from the Lenni Lenape in 1702, the residential community of approximately 2,400 centers on Essex Fells Pond, a popular local gathering spot. Students attend Essex Fells School through sixth grade and then the West Essex Regional School District.
