Farr West is a northern Weber County city on the edge of the Ogden area, bordered by communities such as Plain City, Pleasant View, Harrisville, and Marriott-Slaterville. The city was named for Lorin Farr and Chauncey W. West, two prominent early Utah figures. Modern Farr West is mostly residential, with a mix of suburban neighborhoods, remaining open land, and views toward the Wasatch Front. It is a quieter place than Ogden itself, but close enough for everyday commuting and regional services.
