About Forest Hill Village
Forest Hill Village is a Flathead County census-designated place on U.S. 93, six miles south of Kalispell and just north of Flathead Lake. It is a small place without an incorporated town government, so its identity comes more from its location than a formal main street. The highway runs through the community, Kalispell is the nearest larger center for shopping, medical care, schools, and county business, and the lake begins just south.
The wider Flathead Valley gives Forest Hill Village its setting: mountain ranges, working lands, rural communities, and lake roads all overlap here. The CDP sits in the Lakeside-Somers part of the county and on the north end of the Flathead Lake corridor, with the valley opening toward Kalispell and the lake country south of it. Forest Hill Village is not one of Montana's named resort towns or an old railroad center; it is a compact residential community on a busy north-south route, close enough to Kalispell for daily connections and close enough to the lake to make water and mountains part of the everyday view.
