Forest Junction, WI

Forest Junction is an unincorporated Calumet County community in the Town of Brillion, set where U.S. 10 meets Wisconsin 57 and 32. Its name comes from a railroad junction near the forest, and a post office has served the community since 1873. The rail line that gave Forest Junction its name is no longer active, but the crossroads still matter: Highway 10 runs east-west, while 57 and 32 carry north-south traffic through the settlement. A water tower, local utilities, and nearby farm roads give it the practical shape of a small Wisconsin service point.

The Friendship State Trail reaches Forest Junction from Brillion along Highway 10, with hiking, biking, and horseback riding in season and snowmobiling in winter. The trail’s connection to the Fox River Trail brings the community into a wider network of Calumet County routes. Forest Junction’s setting is a blend of crossroads and open country—woodland remnants, farmland, utility infrastructure, and the road grid that now carries the through traffic once associated with the railroad.
