Geraldine, MT

Geraldine is a town in Chouteau County, Montana, United States. The 2020 census counted 207 residents. The area around the town is an agricultural, largely wheat-producing, region. Geraldine was originally created as a stop on the Milwaukee Railroad. They are known as the Tigers. That mix gives Geraldine a clear local shape within Montana, with older layers still visible in current places. The local scoop is a place whose streets, landmarks, and institutions keep its earlier story close to the present. Geraldine was named for Almira Geraldine Rockefeller, the wife of William Rockefeller, the director of the railroad at the time. Montana Highway 80 cuts through town. Geraldine is near both Kingsbury Lake and Big Lake.
