About Germantown Hills
Germantown Hills is a village in Woodford County about eight miles northeast of Peoria and the only incorporated community in Worth Township. The 2020 census counted 3,412 residents. Settlement in the area dates to 1831, when Methodist minister Zadock Hall began preaching in what became Worth Township. The largely agricultural community incorporated in 1954. Illinois Route 116 runs through the village center and connects it with Peoria.
