About Goshen

Goshen is a village and the county seat of Orange County, New York, situated fifty miles northwest of New York City along State Route 17. Settled in 1714 and incorporated in 1809, the historic community of approximately 5,773 is the home of the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame, having hosted the prestigious Hambletonian harness race at Good Time Park from 1930 to 1956. Public education is administered by the Goshen Central School District.
