About Herricks

Herricks is a hamlet and census-designated place in the southern part of the Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County, New York. Named for the historic Herricks Path that ran through the area as early as 1659, the community of approximately 3,900 features Herricks Pond Park. The local school district was established in 1813, making it one of the oldest on Long Island, and today all local residents are served by the Herricks Union Free School District.
