About Jette
Jette is a small census-designated place in Lake County on the western shore of Flathead Lake, near the lake’s southern end and just north of Polson. U.S. Highway 93 follows the west shore toward Kalispell and Missoula, giving the community a long north-south connection and putting the county seat close by. The lake sits within the Flathead Reservation, home of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, and the Mission Valley and Mission Mountains broaden the setting beyond the shoreline.
Jette’s homes and subdivisions occupy rolling, glacially shaped ground above the water, where wells and individual septic systems are part of local infrastructure. The nearby Jette Meadows residential area has its own community water systems serving clusters of homes. Lake County’s larger work centers on Polson, where retail, manufacturing, and service jobs serve the surrounding settlements. In Jette, the daily landscape is more about highway, hillside, lake, and views across the valley than a downtown grid. Flathead Lake moderates the climate, the mountains frame the horizon, and Polson supplies the nearest broad set of county services.
