About Lakeridge
Lakeridge is a Douglas County census-designated place of 409 residents in the 2020 census on the east shore of Lake Tahoe in far western Nevada. U.S. 50 is the main road through the CDP, running about six miles south to the California line and about 19 miles northeast to Carson City. At roughly 6,400 feet, Lakeridge is oriented toward the lake, the forested Tahoe basin, and the highway that carries the community between Nevada and California. The larger east-shore recreation network is close by, including Nevada State Parks, Sand Harbor, Cave Rock, Spooner Lake and Backcountry, and the Tahoe East Shore Trail.
Those places organize regional outings and shoreline access around a very small named community. Lakeridge's local scoop is its geography: a compact residential CDP on the Nevada side of Tahoe, with the lake on one side, U.S. 50 on the other, and Carson City and the California state line serving as the two practical directions for the wider area.
