Lakeside is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Flathead County, Montana, situated on the western shore of Flathead Lake. Originally established in 1892 as Stoner, the resort community of approximately 2,386 offers access to West Shore State Park. Public education for local elementary and secondary students is served by the Flathead County Schools.
