Lantana, TX

Lantana is an upscale planned community and census-designated place in Denton County, about eight miles south of Denton. It was originally developed by Republic Property Group and is zoned to Denton Independent School District. Unlike an older town that grew around a courthouse or railroad, Lantana's identity is planned from the start: neighborhoods, schools, trails, golf, and homeowners associations form much of the local structure. It is best understood as a polished North Texas residential community within the Dallas-Fort Worth growth corridor.
