Lemont is a southwest Chicago suburb and village spread across Cook, DuPage, and Will counties. It sits on a hillside above the Des Plaines River, with the Illinois and Michigan Canal and old quarry landscapes giving the town a historic edge. Argonne National Laboratory is nearby, adding a major science and research presence.
