Lily Lake, IL

Lily Lake is a small, quiet village in western Kane County, situated on the outer edge of the greater Chicago area. With around 1,000 residents, the community has a relaxed, rural atmosphere with plenty of open space and large residential lots. Settlers first arrived in the area during the 1830s, and the village officially incorporated in 1990 to protect its quiet, country charm. Illinois Route 47 serves as the primary road through the area, linking the neighborhood to surrounding towns.

Families are served by Central Community Unit School District 301, with younger children attending Lily Lake Grade School right in town. For shopping, dining, and everyday conveniences, Route 47 offers an easy drive to nearby hubs like St. Charles, Elgin, and Elburn. Commuters also benefit from being a short drive from the Elburn Metra station, which provides a direct train line into downtown Chicago.
