Locust, NC

Locust is a small city in Stanly and Cabarrus counties, North Carolina, situated in the southwestern part of Stanly County. Spurred by rapid urban expansion from the Charlotte metropolitan area, the growing residential community has a population of approximately 5,840. Public education is served by the Stanly County Public Schools district.
