Manchester, CT

Manchester is a Hartford County town in central Connecticut, part of the Capitol Planning Region. Its recorded history began around Podunk camping grounds, and later industrial growth left the town with a strong historic fabric. Today Manchester has older neighborhoods, shopping corridors, local media, the Charter Oak Greenway, and civic traditions such as the Manchester Pipe Band. It feels like a mature Connecticut town: close to Hartford, but large and established enough to have its own everyday center.
