Many Farms, AZ

Many Farms is a small, quiet community located in Apache County, right in the heart of the Navajo Nation. Home to around 900 residents, it offers a relaxed rural pace surrounded by the wide-open landscapes of northeastern Arizona. Highway 191 runs straight through town, making it easy to get around the region or take a quick 15-mile drive down to Canyon de Chelly National Monument. The community also serves as a regional education center, hosting a local K-8 school as well as Many Farms High School.

The town was originally established in the 1930s around an irrigation project that helped support farming in the valley. Over the years, it developed deep educational roots, even serving as the original home of Diné College before the campus relocated to Tsaile. Today, Many Farms provides a close-knit environment grounded in Navajo culture, offering peaceful desert living with everyday conveniences and services just a short drive away in neighboring Chinle.
